Hipodromo de Palermo

Today marked the end of another work week, and that means my time in Argentina continues to dwindle away.

Being the first one to the office has both advantages and disadvantages, but today I experienced one of the disadvantages. The breaker for the outlets was switched off again, but this time I couldn’t make it stay on. Without internet I can’t do my job, so I decided to find a café and email the rest of the Uplifted team to tell them the situation.
After walking about halfway home, I decided to skip the café and just send the email when I got back to my apartment. From the email thread regarding the electricity at the office, it sounds like there won’t be internet at the office until midday Monday.

Working from home is great, but only when u have a clear mind. My head was still cloudy from yesterday hindering my work performance a bit, but I was still able to knock out the Weekly Roundup for the DRC client!

Around 6:00 pm, I made my way to the Hipodromo de Palermo. Despite the temperatures being a little chilly, it was a great night for horse racing. The track is spectacular, and the casino inside is three stories. However, one major drawback about the casino was lack of table games.

This track puts Prairie Meadow’s racetrack to shame. What I went to last night was so large it resembled Kentucky’s famous Churchill Downs. I spent most of my time browsing the grounds, and understanding how the betting worked.

After the races, I found a place to grab a bite to eat. Completely stuffed from a gigantic ham/cheese/lettuce/tomato/egg sandwich and fries, I made it back to my apartment to call it a day.
